A multi-year collaboration exploring how story, presence, and faith can deepen understanding between the Church and its people.

Across gatherings, appeals, and annual reflections, Amitié Studio and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver have explored how generosity, vocation, and belonging might be portrayed with due reverence. From candlelit vigils to classroom scenes, each piece revealed belief as something practiced, not simply preached.

Human dignity, and the grace of being seen.

Centred on women rebuilding their lives, the film reflected on visibility and care. Through empathy and restraint, one woman’s voice became a vessel through which many recognized themselves. It offered a reminder: generosity does not only rescue, but also honours.

PROJECT ADVANCE 2025 — HOPE LIVES HERE

A reflection on belonging.

Filmed in multiple parishes, this year’s Project Advance gathered voices of hope, continuity, and care across generations and cultures. It reminded us that faith is sustained not only by leadership, but by the lives that inhabit it.

ARCHBISHOP’S DINNER 2024 — EDUCATE FOR MISSION

A film of hope and emerging vocation.

This work followed educators, administrators, spiritual leaders and students navigating a shifting spiritual landscape. Thoughtful compositions and measured pacing revealed teaching as discipleship, a vocation of formation as much as instruction, while more kinetic, joyful sequences with students reminded us that vocation is also discovered in play and curiosity. It asked what happens when hope becomes daily practice in the classroom.

PROJECT ADVANCE 2024 — EDUCATE FOR MISSION

A meditation on legacy and formation.

Seen through the eyes of a young student, this early collaboration traced the steadfast continuity of faith from one generation to the next, where a lived faith often begins in small gestures. The story wove together education, service, and family, offering a view of formation as both inheritance and practice..
